So much is on the news and internet these days about the health risks associated with with bacteria and germs and even the health effects of mold and mildew. Of course there are sanitizers on the market that say they kill these germs, but at what cost to our health and environment. Where to get supplies for taking care of a pond?
So, my parents are now proud owners of a small backyard pond, but really have no idea how to take care of it or really where to get the supplies necessary to take care of it. So I decided to do a little digging around on the internet and found a company called Natural Environmental Systems. They have a good selection of products for taking care of the water in a pond, but better than that, they had a wealth of information on how to take care of a pond, especialy where pond algae control is concerned. They have varied assortment of products, packages and programs for keeping algae down, which from what I read is a pond owners biggest problem. What is really cool about this company is that they appear to have a focus on natural solutions vs the usage of too many chemicals. So, needless to say I did make a small purchase for my parents consisting of a couple of basic items that I deemed necessary like pond bacteria and this fish safe algaecide called GreenClean. Order should arrive in a few days. I will report back how it goes.
